In Photos: Olympic Torch Comes To Falmouth

The Olympic torch came through Falmouth on the very first day of it’s 8,000 mile journey across the country, before the Olympic Games in London.

On a beautiful day, thousands of people lined the streets of the torch route to cheer on the carrier and even get close to and touch the torch itself. With pre-run entertainment from a marching band, gymnasts and an assortment of coaches from companies sponsoring the event, there was plenty to make up for the delay of the torch’s arrival.

Even Ben Ainslie made an appearance, yesterday crowned winner of the Finn Cup, also in Falmouth. The pictures speak for themselves, with just over 60 here for you to enjoy. As always, leave a like or a comment if you enjoyed any of the photos.
